<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Health and Safety Workshop: </span></strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Bunbury on Wednesday 23nd of May and the other in Margaret River, at the Augusta Margaret River Shire on Thursday 24rd of May. </span></p>
<p>The Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) ‘In Safe Hands’  workshop is a comprehensive workshop covering all aspects of health and safety and will be presented by Mr Graeme Hickingbotham, National Training Manager at CVA. The ‘In Safe Hands’ training program is a nationally accredited program which is suitable for <strong>groups undertaking on ground work, particularly in practical conservation</strong>. This workshop will be beneficial for both volunteer community groups as well as organisations who work with volunteer groups.</p>
<ul>
	<li>Topics to be covered include:</li>
	<li>Occupational Health and Safety policy</li>
	<li>Safety Management and Guidance notes</li>
	<li>Risk assessment information and format</li>
	<li>Emergency response processes</li>
	<li>Induction for volunteers</li>
	<li>Set of proforma documents to address all aspects at the worksite</li>
</ul>
<p>A comprehensive training manual will be made available for each community group attending providing them with a guide to refer back to as well as all essential documentation and forms covered in the workshop. A CD of all material is also supplied as part of the training manual.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Location:</span></strong></p>
<p>Two workshops will be run, one in Bunbury on Wednesday 23nd of May and the other in Margaret River, at the Augusta Margaret River Shire on Thursday 24rd of May. The venue in Bunbury will be confirmed closer to the date depending on numbers.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Time:</span></strong></p>
<p>The workshops will run from 9am-12:30pm, with morning tea and tea/coffee provided.</p>
